Nature, the Great Outdoors & You

Nature, the Great Outdoors & You

The Romantic Authors had a great abiding love and respect for nature. Wordsworth wrote that nature allowed him to "see into the life of things." Nature and the wild world are a part of many Romantic poems and stories.

What is your feelings about nature? Do you feel the same way? If so why, or why not? What is the best way to experience the natural world? Is the experience itself overrated and irrelevant to young adults like yourself?

I could say I love nature, but then again I havent done much to help it. And that is something I would like to change. A lot of us dont really appreciate nature and its sad because we do things to harm it and we dont even realize it. We live in a desert so we really dont have the beautiful experience of being surrounded by trees, plants, and that amazing smell of fresh trees! For example if you go to Ruidoso, thats a good place to see how beautiful nature could be. And well here in El Paso we have the mountains and some plants, if you go up McKelligon its a beautiful view of the mountains and you'll see few caves where the animals live. I think we should all be a little bit more thankful and take care of our envioriment. We could do this by not killing trees, keep our enviroment clean, and pollution is big issue for nature. And how i said it before we probably dont care because we live in a desert and everything looks death here, but why not go camping with your friends on a weekend and explore around?? I think this would be a great experience!
